Support

A real person reads every message.

Email support@sunbeamcoloring.com

We answer within two business days. Tell us your device and iOS version if something is broken — and please never send us anything about your child that you would not want written down. We do not need it, and we would rather not hold it.

Getting around

Where is the grown-up area?

Settings, purchases, syncing, and the photo feature all live behind a grown-up gate, so a child cannot reach them by tapping. Look for the small sun button in the corner and follow the prompt. The gate is deliberately a little tedious — that is the point.

My child cannot read. Will they manage?

Yes. Every word a child meets in Sunbeam is also spoken aloud, and a child reaches a coloring page in two taps from a cold start. There is nothing to read, no menu to learn, and no way to get stuck in a screen with no way out.

Coloring is not filling in

Tap inside a shape rather than dragging across it — the color blooms outward from where the finger lands. If a region will not fill, close the app fully and reopen it, then let us know which page and which spot, because that is a bug on our end and we would like to fix it.

Sacrament Meeting Mode

What does it actually do?

One switch in the grown-up area turns off all sound — piano, narration, chimes, spoken color names, crayon texture. Not quieter: off. Motion slows to gentle cross-fades, confetti is suppressed, the palette warms and dims, and the reverent packs move to the front. A small gold dot in the corner confirms it is on.

It turned itself on

By design, it engages on Sundays between 9am and 2pm local time. You can change those hours or switch the automatic behaviour off entirely in the grown-up area.

I still hear something

Sunbeam also respects your device's mute switch and stops instantly for a call, a podcast, or CarPlay. If you hear audio with Sacrament Meeting Mode on, that is a bug and we want to know today.

Purchases

I paid, and it is still locked

Open the grown-up area and choose Restore purchases. Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase. If it is a family member's device, the purchase needs Family Sharing turned on for it.

Managing or cancelling a subscription

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your device: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. There is also a link straight to it from the purchase screen in the app.

Refunds

Refunds also go through Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue one ourselves, but if something about the app caused it, please tell us so it does not happen to the next family.

Syncing and accounts

Do I need an account?

No. Nothing in Sunbeam requires signing in to anything. Install it and everything works.

Getting a child's coloring onto a second device

Syncing is automatic — there is no switch to find. It uses your own private iCloud, so both devices need to be signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive on, and Sunbeam left enabled under Settings → your name → iCloud. If iCloud is unavailable, the app quietly keeps everything local and carries on working. The grown-up area shows whether syncing is actually happening, and when it last sent and received.

Deleting everything

Delete the app and the local data goes with it. If you were syncing, remove Sunbeam's data from Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. We hold nothing of yours to delete on our side — see Privacy.

Accessibility

Sunbeam supports VoiceOver on every control, Dynamic Type in the grown-up area, and full Reduce Motion — with Reduce Motion on, every animation collapses to a short cross-fade and completion animations become still frames. The crayon set is colorblind-safe and every color says its own name aloud.

If something is still hard to use, write to us. We would rather fix it than have you work around it.

Reporting something serious

If you find anything in the app that seems inappropriate for a small child, or anything that looks like it is sending data off the device, email support@sunbeamcoloring.com and put URGENT in the subject. That goes to the top of the pile.
